ABBYY and IBM watsonx.ai partner to reshape data processing

Through this partnership, ABBYY is integrating Vantage, its Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) platform, with IBM watsonx.ai, IBM’s platform for the development and deployment of AI-powered applications, to help organizations optimize their workflows and unlock the full potential of their data.

ABBYY, a leading provider of intelligent process automation solutions including Vantage, its Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) platform, announced on December 10, 2024, a partnership with IBM watsonx.ai, IBM’s integrated platform for end-to-end AI application development. Together, they aim to combine the strengths of natural language processing, computer vision, and machine learning to extract, analyze, and act on data from any source and format, along with the capabilities offered by large language models to further accelerate business processes.

The integration of ABBBY Vantage with IBM watsonx.ai brings several benefits to organizations, such as an improved way to extract, process and analyze data across documents, enhanced decision making by leveraging advanced AI analytics, and operational efficiency through the integration of seamless AI-driven workflows.

Maxime Vermeir, Senior Director of AI Strategy at ABBYY, commented: “We are confident that the integration of ABBYY’s purpose-built IDP platform, Vantage and IBM watsonx.ai will be a game-changer for the market. We believe that this integration will offer a unique value proposition for data-driven businesses, as it will enable them to leverage the power and potential of different AI technologies to optimize their data and workflows. We also believe that this integration will create new opportunities and possibilities for innovation and differentiation, as it will allow users to customize and tailor their solutions to their specific needs and preferences.”

In October, ABBYY announced the relocation of its global headquarters from Milpitas, California to Austin, Texas. Ulf Persson, CEO at ABBYY, explained: “As a leader, we are constantly transforming and trying to improve ourselves.
