With a history spanning almost four decades, the company says the rebrand signifies its evolution from a pioneer in document capture to a global provider of intelligent, AI-powered workflow automation solutions.
Kofax, an intelligent workflow automation solutions provider, announced January 16 that it is now Tungsten Automation. According to Tungsten Automation, the new identity better augments its Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) capabilities, adding value to its portfolio of solutions, particularly in the areas of traditional invoice processing, e-invoicing, and automating accounts payable processes, serverless print management and document productivity.
Why the name Tungsten Automation? Because of the acquisition of Tungsten Network: In June 2022, Kofax acquired the business transaction network to offer its customers more comprehensive invoice processing and accounts payable automation solutions thanks to Tungsten’s e-invoicing capabilities.
Reynolds Bish, CEO of Tungsten Automation, formerly Kofax, explained: “Choosing Tungsten Automation as our new name means embracing a promise of enduring reliability, innovations recognized by leading industry analysts, and a commitment to success in the dynamic world of intelligent automation. With a broad portfolio of solutions dedicated to solving inefficiencies across a wide parameter of use cases in the financial, healthcare, supply chain and government industries amongst others.”
Ralph Gammon, Market Analyst at Infosource, commented: “Kofax always seems to have the best of intentions when it comes to advancing its business. And today’s announced name change to Tungsten Automation fits with that theme. After all, as Infosource has been saying for several years, positioning Capture & IDP as an enabler of end-to-end automation is one key to success in the market going forward. On the surface, this name change is reflective of that.”
CEO Reynolds Bish further explained the rebrand: “Tungsten Automation represents a pivotal moment in our journey as we continue to expand our portfolio of solutions and bring the latest technological innovations to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers. This change highlights the depth and breadth of our trusted workflow automation solutions, culture of innovation and continued commitment to staying ahead of the curve in helping our customers improve their efficiency and reduce costs with intelligent automation solutions they can trust.”
Tungsten Automation, formerly Kofax, headquartered in Irvine, California, provides intelligent automation software platforms and solutions, including Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), that transform information-intensive business processes and help organizations increase efficiency and reduce costs through workflow automation.
